Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: March 2026 | Governing all online donations, UPI transfers, and payment aggregators
1. Nature of Voluntary Charitable Contributions
PASHUPATINATH MAHADEV GOSHALA CHARITABLE TRUST is an officially registered non-profit public charitable trust. Contributions received through our web portal (https://ppngaushala.org) are purely voluntary charitable donations dedicated directly to the daily procurement of green fodder, lifesaving trauma veterinary surgeries, antibiotics, and shelter maintenance for rescued, sick, and abandoned cows.
General Principle:
Because donations are immediately committed to daily fodder purchasing and emergency veterinary operations, donations once made are generally non-refundable and irrevocable. We encourage donors to exercise careful discretion before executing any remittance.
2. Eligible Grounds for Refund
The Trust recognizes that inadvertent technical anomalies may occasionally occur. We will investigate and process a genuine refund request strictly under the following circumstances:
A donor unintentionally double-clicks the payment submission or suffers a network glitch that triggers two or more identical debits within minutes.
The donor's bank account was debited, but the payment gateway session terminated abruptly without generating a receipt or notifying our server.
A donation was fraudulently processed using a compromised bank card or UPI ID without the legal account holder's consent.
3. Refund Application Window & Mandatory Evidence
To request a refund for any eligible transaction, the donor must comply with the following procedure:
- Notice Window: The refund request must be lodged within 7 calendar days from the date and timestamp of the transaction. Requests received after 7 days cannot be entertained as funds are disbursed for fodder logistics.
- Written Notice: Submit an email to ppnmgaushala@gmail.com with the subject line:
[REFUND REQUEST] - Transaction UTR / Receipt No. - Required Information: The email must include:
- Full name and telephone number of the donor
- Exact date, time, and monetary amount debited (INR)
- Banking UTR Number / UPI Reference ID / Payment Gateway Order ID
- Bank debit confirmation screenshot or official bank statement reflecting the debit
- Brief explanation of why the refund is being sought
4. Turnaround Timeline & Settlement Method
Upon receipt of the complete documentation, our accounts desk will reconcile the remittance with our bank statements within 48 business hours. Once validated and approved by the Managing Trustee:
- Refunds will be processed strictly to the original source bank account or UPI ID from which the funds originated.
- Under Indian anti-money laundering and Income Tax regulations, we never disburse refunds in cash or to third-party bank accounts.
- Actual bank credit reflection may take 5 to 7 additional working days depending on the donor's receiving bank / NPCI clearing cycles.
5. Impact on 80G Tax Exemption Certificates
If an 80G tax receipt was initially generated for a donation that is subsequently refunded:
- The corresponding 80G provisional receipt shall be formally cancelled in our books of account.
- The transaction will be omitted or cancelled from our annual CBDT Form 10BD return. Donors are legally prohibited from claiming tax deductions under Section 80G for any refunded donations in their annual Income Tax Return (ITR).
6. Cancellation Policy for Recurring Monthly Adoptions
For donors who participate in our Monthly Cow Adoption Seva (e.g., ₹2,100/month recurring commitment):
- You may pause or terminate your recurring sponsorship pledge at any time with zero financial penalties or lock-in obligations.
- To terminate, simply notify us at ppnmgaushala@gmail.com or via WhatsApp at +91 91567 98175 at least 3 business days before the next debit cycle.
