Donation, Pricing & 80G Tax Policy
Last Updated: March 2026 | Governing all Seva contributions, 80G tax deduction claims, and regulatory declarations
1. Transparent Seva Pricing & Contribution Tiers
At PASHUPATINATH MAHADEV GOSHALA CHARITABLE TRUST, every rupee contributed is dedicated directly to the lifesaving care, surgical intervention, and nourishing fodder of abandoned, injured, and rescued indigenous cows and bulls. All pricing listed on our portal is transparently stated in Indian National Rupees (INR / ₹) with zero hidden surcharges:
₹250 per cow/day: Provides 20–25 kg of fresh green hybrid Napier grass, mineral-enriched dry chaff, and fresh clean water.
₹1,500 per critical cow: Finances emergency wound debridement, antibiotic courses, maggot cleansing, and veterinary anesthesia.
₹2,100 per cow/month: Comprehensive monthly care covering specialized nutrition, Ayurvedic supplements, shed sanitation, and daily vet visits.
₹5,100 / ₹11,000: Personalized Vedic sankalp performed by ashram priest in donor's name and gotra, feeding the entire herd of 480+ cows.
* Custom donations are welcomed starting from ₹51 upwards. Donors may choose single-time or recurring commitments.
2. Section 80G Tax Exemption Guidelines (Income Tax Act, 1961)
Contributions to PASHUPATINATH MAHADEV GOSHALA CHARITABLE TRUST are eligible for statutory tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961:
- Deduction Quantum: Donors are eligible to claim a 50% deduction on the donated amount from their gross total income, subject to statutory limits prescribed by the Income Tax Department.
- Tax Regime Notice: As per prevailing Indian tax statutes, deduction under Section 80G is available only if the taxpayer opts for the Old Tax Regime when filing their annual Income Tax Return (ITR).
- Restriction on Cash Donations: Pursuant to Section 80G(5D) of the Income Tax Act, cash donations exceeding ₹2,000 (Two Thousand Rupees) are NOT eligible for tax deduction. All donations above this threshold must be remitted digitally via UPI, net banking, debit/credit cards, or account payee cheques.
3. Mandatory PAN Collection & CBDT Form 10BD / Form 10BE Rules
Vital Requirement from Income Tax Department (CBDT Notification):
An ordinary receipt is no longer legally sufficient to claim an 80G deduction in your ITR. Under Income Tax Rule 18AB, the Trust is legally mandated to report all donor details electronically in Form 10BD by May 31st each year.
The Income Tax Department then generates Form 10BE (Certificate of Donation). The donation data automatically pre-fills in your AIS (Annual Information Statement) and 26AS.
Therefore, providing your valid Permanent Account Number (PAN) and postal address at the time of donation is STRICTLY MANDATORY if you wish to claim 80G tax benefits. Without a valid PAN, the Trust cannot issue Form 10BE, and your tax claim will be rejected by tax authorities.
4. Strict Domestic Contributions Mandate (FCRA 2010 Compliance)
Under Section 2(1)(j) of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010, charitable organizations in India require explicit registration or prior permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to accept contributions from foreign sources.
PASHUPATINATH MAHADEV GOSHALA CHARITABLE TRUST currently accepts donations strictly and exclusively from Indian Citizens remitting from Indian Domestic Bank Accounts in Indian Rupees (INR).
- Foreign citizens, foreign corporate entities, and overseas trusts are legally prohibited from remitting funds through this portal.
- Transactions attempted using cards issued by non-Indian banks, foreign wire transfers, or overseas NRE/FCNR accounts without FCRA compliance will be rejected or returned.
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) holding valid Indian Passports may contribute ONLY from domestic NRO accounts in INR, subject to Indian banking guidelines.
5. Anti-Money Laundering & Transparent Utilization of Funds
The Trust adheres to highest standards of financial integrity:
- 100% of donations are audited annually by certified Chartered Accountants and submitted to the Charity Commissioner, Thane Region under the Mumbai Public Trust Act, 1950.
- No funds are disbursed for commercial trading, speculation, or private enrichment of any trustee or individual.
- Any attempt to utilize the donation portal for financial fraud, unauthorized credit card cycling, or illegal transactions will be reported immediately to law enforcement authorities.
